The Inn Collection is a leading pub company in the North of England that has very recently launched its eighth pub %u2013 The Amble Inn and by partnering with Blue Castle on a bespoke package, the company is creating a flagship model for dealing with its waste disposal across all its sites.
The Amble Inn sits at the southern gateway to the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers 30 contemporary en-suite bedrooms with bed and breakfast, along with outstanding food, drink and hospitality.
Blue Castle's Ben Crosby is Business Development Director for the North of England and he's been working closely with The Inn Collection over the last six months to bring the project to life:
"When we started working with The Inn Collection last year, they were unhappy with their existing process and felt they could do more to deal with their waste responsibly. We spent time looking at the types of waste being produced at each site and agreed a plan that would help them to segregate their waste. We will continue to monitor waste levels and appropriate bin sizes and frequency can be amended to suit the needs of the company. By operating smarter with The Inn Collection's waste, we were able to look at ways of cost saving too, working with their team and providing ongoing training where necessary."
"The Amble Inn celebrated its opening in January 2019, with two further sites in the Lake District under development for launch later this year. This flagship site will have a really positive impact for the rest of The Inn Collection's portfolio of pubs and hotels further down the line. The Amble Inn has been developed from the ground up and so Blue Castle were able to play an integral role in planning for waste disposal from early in the project. We will be working closely with the team at The Amble Inn, dealing with any teething problems concerning their waste and fine-tuning a model that will then be rolled out across the whole group. It's a very exciting time."
